Bio

Harry T is a young artist whose creatively original sound reflects an eclectic array of lyrical and melodic influences.  While his music can be called rock, this surface level interpretation fails to convey the integration of various styles. The music itself ranges from blues influenced heavy rock riffs (and intense live jams) to whimsical acoustic ballads that include tastes of the folk music of various cultures throughout the world, including Celtic and Indian/Middle Eastern.  Lyrically, his songs are often about various issues of life in general as well as narrative stories and mystical poetry to take the listener to other lands and states of mind.

Harry began guitar lessons at the age of five and in the years to come he began to discover rock music and its blues roots.  Around the age of ten, Harry began playing at blues jams, honing his improvisational technique and expanding his ability to play the guitar.  A few years later, he was introduced to various other styles of music that helped him to expand beyond the blues and ultimately built the foundation of his own original style.  He soon began to learn from the whimsical music of the British Isles, Renaissance lute tunes, and the hypnotic, droning sitar melodies of India.

Luckily, Harry has had many wonderful opportunities to perform among the greats of blues and rock.  He often plays with the legendary James Montgomery Band, and James has given him experience as well as guidance and opportunities.  With James, Harry has played alongside Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and opened shows for B.B. King and Johnny Winter to name a few.

Now, Harry has begun his own song writing and embarked on a new journey, namely the formation of the band, Bad Spectrum.  He hopes that the band can represent a certain level of versatility that has not been present in mainstream music for many years and successfully combine heavy rock jam music with memorable songwriting and acoustic ballads: the blend of sun and shade.  Harry’s first CD is now available at www.cdbaby.com and he is currently working a promotional CD for Bad Spectrum. Some of these sound bytes  will be added to his site soon.
